December Daily 2012 – Lap Book Part 1 & 2

  1. Just wondering if the folders you used are A4 or fullscap size. In answer to a previous post you can obtain the folders on ebay.

  2. Kathy, so glad you gave the dimensions for the “center” tab folder in the 2nd set of 3 as mine was not exactly “center”. But with your finished dimension measurements, not an issue I was able to keep the “center” and adjust the cut to one side. thx as always

  3. Thank you for sharing your creative mind so freely!

Did you know that “UnDu” adhesive removal does NOT play well with Scor-Tape? I found out on the first installation of the “hidden hinges”!

  4. Oh my goodness!!!!! You are wicked talented!!!! I can not wait to get started on my project. Thanks for sharing 🙂

  5. The videos are awesome. I just can’t find a folder that isn’t crooked! Everytime I fold the right side in it’s crooked. UGAH>

  6. HI Kathy,

Can’t find the File FOlders anywhere in AUstralia!! Any suggestions? I have everything else to make this!

  7. I just completed the two videos and they were easy to follow. Can’t wait for the next step! This is the first course I’m taking with you and I am so impressed with your clever creation of this project.
And thanks so much for offering this course for free. Truly appreciate that.

What a fun project. I had to rewind and stop several times, but I’m ready for the patterned paper. I selected Echo Park’s Merry Christmas that I got 50% off at Hobby Lobby. It’s so cute. Looking forward to the next video.

  9. Great videos Kathy! Thanks for this project. I am really excited to start tonight!

  10. I can’t believe how easy you make these projects for us! I feel like the woman who goes into the kitchen to make rice krispie treats and throws flour on herself to make it look like she slaved to bring it all together! (LOL) They are so delicious no one would believe how easy they were to make!
Thanks for making us look so good!

While I was at Staples purchasing my file folders for this project, I saw the coolest file folders in the same section. I just KNOW that you could create a wonderful project with these. The product is Pendaflex Divide-It-Up multi-section file folders. They come in a pack of 12 letter. They are a must for the queen of “hidden pocket” minis!!

Love this project…any ideas where you can get file folders that don’t have the wording (aka Staples) printed on them? Thanks, Pammy

  14. I already finished!! I was so excited, I stopped working and just had to make it. It only took the same time as your videos. You did great with the details and it made it super easy to assemble. I cannot wait for tomorrow!!!!!

Just for info, Michaels has 50% off coupons this week,I have to run get my christmas paper tonight!!

All 4 of us are making one in our house!!
I posted about mine today with links to your videos for people to find!!

Thank You for the wonderful project tutorial. Sometimes the glare makes it unclear what you are doing. Thanks again and i need to send you a new corner chomper for a thank you…love Debbie Murnane

  17. I have been anxiously awaiting this series! thanks!! BTW: WHEN YOU HAVE A DARK BACKGROUND (YOUR CUTTING MAT) AND A LIGHTER PIECE YOU ARE FILMING, YOUR CAMERA THINKS IT’S DARK “OUTSIDE” SO OPENS THE “IRIS” WIDE TO LET IN AS MUCH LIGHT AS POSSIBLE. THEREFORE THE LIGHT COLORED PAPER IS OVER-EXPOSED AND IS TOO BRIGHT TO SEE – THE “IRIS” STAYS OPEN FOR THE DARK- IT’S LIKE GOING FROM A VERY DARK ROOM TO BRIGHT SUNLIGHT. When you put the whole folder down, it covered most of the dark mat so the “iris” closed down some so we can see the lighter details. (Whew! ‘hope that helps!!LOL!)

  18. Wowwww Kathy is a grat proyect

  20. OMG, I just realized that your videos were just posted this morning and I have already completed the project through video #2. Can’t wait until you post the next one. I used Fiddlestix Paperie double sided, printed folders that I bought from Hobby Lobby for $4 for a 12 pack with my 40% off coupon! They are beautiful red and black damask and tan, black and brown cheeta print. Thank you, Kathy for sharing this fantastic project. Love it so much!
